Amrithagiri is proud to partner with the Department of Political Science, University of Kerala in a groundbreaking research initiative on the Ganga River. As a leading institution known for its academic excellence and societal impact, the university has produced distinguished alumni like M. S. Swaminathan, K. R. Narayanan, and O. N. V. Kurup. This collaboration, led by Prof. Girishkumar R, aims to document the river’s ecological and cultural significance, contributing to sustainable conservation and policy research.
As part of the River Ganga Project by the University of Kerala and Amrithagiri Himalaya, Dr. Girish Kumar R, Head, Department of Political Science, University of Kerala, and Sri Denny Amrithagiri, Chairman, Amrithagiri Himalaya, were honored as chief guests at the Ganga Aarti at Satrugna Temple Matt.This sacred event, symbolizing the connection between nature, faith, and sustainability, underscores the project’s commitment to preserving the Ganga’s ecological and cultural heritage. Mehant Manoj Divedji graced the occasion, offering blessings and insights into its religious significance. The ceremony marked a meaningful convergence of tradition, research, and conservation, reinforcing the shared vision of Amrithagiri Himalaya and the University of Kerala.
